It's been awhile...
As usual, I've been slack about posting, but that doesn't mean I haven't been creating. I've been keeping up with birthdays, and I scrapbooked our trip to Mexico. I've also been working on a "Me" album, which I won't be sharing here as it is very personal. Anyhow, here are a few of my latest creations:
This is a card I made for my dad for Father's day, which uses some current and retiring product. The stamp set, Dreams du Jour, is retiring at the end of June, as is the In Color paper stack, which is a level 1 hostess reward.
This is a card I made for my mom for her birthday. It is CASEd from the new catalogue, but uses current and retiring product. It uses the newsprint DSP which is retiring and some of the fabulous Big Shot dies. It is also my first time experimenting with alternative materials - cork!
This is a card a made with a couple of the stamp sets from the current summer mini. So cute!
This is a valentine's card that I made, using the retired hostess set, Punch Potpourri, and the current set Notably Ornate, as well as the Deck The Halls cloth and Seam Binding ribbon, both of which I am happy are carrying over to the new catalogue!

Christmas Card
This is a Christmas card that I made for my friend. I totally CASEd it from this card on SCS. I thought that using the little leaves sizzlit to make a wreath was such a great idea!

Peacock Stained Glass
This is amazing! Richard liked his Peacock Card so much, that he turned it into a stained glass window! Here is a pic of the card but you can click on the link if you want more detail.

Thank You Card
I made this card for my co-worker and his wife who had me over to their house for a party on Friday night. I used last year's retired In-Colour, Crushed Curry cardstock, which I LOVE, and retired DSP Razzleberry Lemonade. I created the butterfly using the Tim Holtz Fanciful flight die. I love the layered effect of this die, it is so amazing, I am excited about using it with some funky materials such as metal. I used the gold glitter from the Fine Galaxy glitter on the body, and the Elegant Thank you stamp with Rich Razzleberry Ink, and Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White cardstock. The butterfly looks really cool popped up on dimensionals. I'm so thrilled with how this card turned out, it was hard to send... but I put it in the mailbox this afternoon.
Wedding Stuff
Here are a card and money envelope I made for a wedding.
This envelope uses several current and retired products. I think it turned out beautifully! The belly band DSP was one of my favourites - I don't have the 2008 catalogue handy so I'm going from memory, but I believe it was the Parisian Breeze specialty. The gusseted envelope is another retired item from 2009/2010 from the Thoroughly Modern collection. I also use retired Kraft Taffeta ribbon, Gold Cord, and Baja Breeze button. I used the Vintage Labels stamp set from Sale-a-bration 2010. Current products I used on this envelope are Baja Breeze and Crumb Cake ink, Very Vanilla and Baja Breeze cardstock, 1-3/4" scallop circle punch, eyelet border punch, and crimper.
This card uses many of the same products including the Parisian Breeze specialty DSP, Baja Breeze and Crumb Cake ink, Very Vanilla and Baja Breeze cardstock, Kraft Taffeta ribbon, Gold Cord, eyelet border punch, and crimper. In addition, I used Crumb Cake cardstock embossed with the square lattice embossing folder and sprayed with Vanilla Shimmer Smootch Spritz which gives a beautiful, subtle, shimmer. I also used Victoria 5/8" crochet trim and accessories from the pretties kit which give a lovely vintage effect. Stamp sets used are Bella Toile and Curly Cute.

Here is a card that I made for a co-worker's 50th birthday. This is the first time I have inked up this gorgeous non-SU stamp. I actually got it after our first trip to Jamaica and I wanted a peacock stamp to scrapbook some photos of peacocks on our resort.
I stamped the image on watercolour paper in black stazon and water coloured it with SU Stampin' Write Markers and aqua painters. Paper: Daffodil Delight and Pacific Point, Ink: Early Espresso, Accessories: Curly Label Punch, Hodge Podge hardware, linen thread, vanilla smooch spray, number stickers, Stamp Sets: Teeny Tiny Wishes.
